12.2.2012
All is quiet
in the rooms to my right. After a six am
trek to the viewtop for a typically heavenly sunrise and breakfast they’re
crashing until lunch at eleven for pizzas, curry chicken with rice, mushroom
soup, apple momos and what else. A poor
sleep last night thinking far too much about nothing. Maya is in the kitchen alone, I suppose I
should help her for lunch. Ok she has
plenty of help. The boisterous Thai
ladies are no strangers in the kitchen and I eat and return to the room
eventually. Two were disappointed
Lamjung and Annapurna were not Everest.
“This no Everest?”
Everything
good comes from a farm. The most recent
acquisition of fine organic bud is a nice change from the head thinking body
relaxer crème. The smoke it makes
though, and the smell it leaves brings wanderers to the end of the
terrace. I keep the door open as much as
possible for though the air is cool it is fresh and clean and damn the torpedoes
full speed ahead mate.
Didi is
cleaning the rooms. Early for her I was
going to start on it but she had to have been told by Maya. Tourists have checked into room three. I see.
I might go down to Lakeside tomorrow and then will do it again on Friday
and stay overnight to see the sunrise from the Peace Pagoda. After that and breakfast a must have to visit
with Nyima, at least, to make an appointment on the 22nd of December
for an exorcism.
Yawn. Children definitely make life so quiet when
they are at school. Large Himalayan Vultures swoop close in the upper garden
and I have tired of carrying a camera around.
A thousand images on facshbook?
Talk of a
thousand people and gone is my idea of what will work for 12.21.12. The man in room five coughs loudly at his
door. Am I that loud when someone is in
room five? People getting crazy in
Russia, today has been Sunday all day.
I’d wager he hasn’t smoked too much.
Peanuts in a
bag. Whoa, did I just ask if there were
peanuts available in the market.
Coincidence. Hmmm…what can I ask
for that I know will never show up?
