act like a normal country

The Israeli Prime Minister is going to speak to Congress soon.  Such drama according to the BBC and CNN, and would this drama even be necessary if Iran recognized Israel’s right to exist?

A full moons lurks, Jupiter shines brightly next to the glowing orb.  So?  So, only five full moons to go.

The new semester has begun, I have 30 students in the smallest classroom in the building.  I voiced concern in the beginning, it’s too small to do any honest testing, the overhead projector is aligned with the ceiling, the whiteboard is half the size of a normal whiteboard, and speaking exercises make it impossible to hear a student yet alone my own strained vocals.

But after three days the confined group is easier to manage.  Nevertheless, I hope to move elsewhere by next week.  And as one would expect there is the usual chaos and mischief plundering common sense and logic.  In one day we lost three teachers, one absconded, one was fired, and one, one is on the way out.  The school is ill equipped to hire credible help because its reputation is sorely lacking and it is located in the corner of the country where no one wants to live.  It is also next to Al-Ain where for the past two weeks lines to cross have snaked for hours.  One can only hope the locals, Omanis and Emiratis, will complain and one would really hope someone with wasta, like an impatient government official will get stuck and complain and only then will something happen.  So for now, cross at midnight or at six in the morning on Friday.

Elie Wiesel is clapping for the man who has entered.  A very political call they say.  Be nice Benji, show respect.  Listen to those evangelicals clapping.  His excellency Benjamin Netanyahu?  His excellency?  I am humbled to speak in front of the most important legislative body in the world.

It was never my intention to cause so much divisiveness.  Well, Ben you shouldn’t have accepted the invitation.  It sounds political.  America stands with Israel.  Yes we do, for better or for worse.   Oh man I need to go to Jerusalem.  From Harry Truman to Barak Obama.  Barak has done a lot for Israel.  Come on, clap, Republicans.

I will always be grateful for President Obama’s support.  I know it.  And Israel is thankful for congress, thanks for building the iron dome.  Hamas rockets, pee shooters, Benji.

Israel’s quest for survival.  Many tribes in 4000 years have tried to destroy Israel.  Tomorrow is the feast of Purim.  Let’s read the book of Esther.  Iran’s PM’s tweet’s ‘Israel must be destroyed’. Well, that’s where I have to side with Israel.  How can anyone trust revolutionary Iran who wishes to fulfill the jihad whose constitution is to destroy, I don't know.

How can anyone think more about Iran as long as they pursue the destruction of a country?

Iran is one evil dude, says Ben.   Iran and ISIS both want a militant Islamic empire.  There is no peace for Christians, Jews, Muslims from medieval Islam.  Your enemy is your enemy?  I got that wrong.  We must always remember a marriage between militant Islam and nuclear weapons can never happen.

Is this going to happen, if Iran can develop nuclear weapons?  Maybe not now but in ten years?  Much shorter, says Ben.  He paints a scary picture.  Iran defies inspectors and plays hide and seek.  Regulators can write up violations but they cannot stop them from building.  Iran cannot be trusted.  Americans want to trust Iranians.  Americans are pretty gullible, aren’t they?  The want to trust but this is a tribe, another tribe who cannot agree for the sake of peace.

The foremost sponsor of global terrorism could have nuclear weapons even if it agrees to a deal with the west.  Concessions.  Too many concessions, the deal paves the way to making bombs.  Can Iran change its ways?  Thirty six years this regime has been in power.  Iran has four capitals now, quietly you think, far more smoothly than IS.  Gee, Ben, you’re depressing me.  Say, evangelicals might be thinking, this is how to bring Jesus back.  Why not.  A middle east littered with nuclear bombs, the end of Israel is imminent with Iran and its wannabe marriage to nuclear power. Right, wipe out Jerusalem and rebuild and then!

Ok, Iran, stop its aggression in the Middle East. Second, stop supporting terrorism.  Third, stop threatening Israel.  Change your behavior if you want to make a deal.  I agree, it’s that simple.  What the hell, Iran, act like a normal country.

In the Persian bazaar, Iran needs nuclear energy more than we do.  No deal is better than a bad deal.  Ok, Iran has to come clean.  Recognize Israel.  The alternative to a bad deal is a much better deal.  And that is?  Keep restrictions on until Iran’s aggressions ends.

Elie Wiesel is given a long standing ovation.  Ben?  You’re bringing in a holocaust survivor to make a point?  Never again, inspires.  Don’t repeat the mistakes of the past, don’t arm evil.  Don’t ignore aggression.  And America, you want to trust, keep doing your homework.  Send Americans who speak Farsi to Iran and get under their skin.

Israel is no longer a scattered people.  We can defend ourselves.  Thanks for America.  If Israel has to stand alone Israel will stand alone.  But I know America stands with Israel, and every Evangelical who wants to see Jesus return but that will happen only if Israel sticks it out and the temple is rebuilt.  WHAT?

Moses is in the building?  His message:  be strong and resolute, may we never fear the challenges ahead.
