A day filled with rain followed by non-stop sneezing. All of nature’s miracles growing around here
have no solution except for whiskey. But
that’s a last resort. One it makes me
vomit bile. Second, the referee strongly
opposes her parents indulging in any vice so I try to respect the displeasure
she gives her mother after sipping a 4oz glass of beer or father’s occasional cheroot.
Playing the children’s version of Uno with ridiculously
complicated rules with new and uninspiring symbols they expect us to accept and
it feels to have thirty more extra cards because of new cards with the lame
symbols. So, let’s revise the game.
Today, Krishna’s birthday, my first tika, marigolds on my
head, and pieces of apple. A sunset ripples clouds through the valley. Maya and
Suraksha head to the Pashaputani Temple in Pokhara, stay overnight, Laxman and
I play Uno until we’re too tired to play correctly, and that is a day. The following morning, the sun rises, another
day to tune with nature.
