‘More, brother?’ Can
I lose weight by eating more? And that
more is rice. I’ll eat anything,
especially if I don’t see it first, but there are some flavors that sneak
across the palate before I can object and then it’s eating the rest disguised
in the moola (a white carrot, like a beet) or in the mound of rice.
A mouse-rodent with a long snout woke me up at 5am, and it
took an hour to finally locate him in my
backpack, which I shook over the balcony, it hung on as if he wouldn’t survive
a fall into grass…and it looks like he didn’t.
Quite drowsy by mid morning.
A few games of Uno in the dining room, back to the room, oh Suraksha has
followed , going through everything like a musa. Until the skies clear and tourists come to
the guesthouse, there isn’t much to do.
Didi, the hired help, does everything so I can watch fog roll. I thought writing would give me the channel
to remain occupied. Soon I will post
some of the stories I’ve been revising and…and what? I like how fog reduces everything.
