I
washed clothes in a bucket this morning.
No power of any kind as of noon.
My laptop has a few hours of power left.
And the internet disconnected.
Right in the middle of an email.
I finished reading and commenting on writing exercises so all I’ve got
left is the big book. Maybe
I’ll wait a few moments.
I
don’t know who is out in the swamp cooled guard box, probably Youinnis,
who must like Fridays because he has to do nothing but watch tv, and that’s
alright, I can cook, I still have onion, garlic and
cucumbers. oh and how about some
pistachios in the pasta, sounds good.
7.44pm
A
holiday is almost done, 12 hours from now we’ll be in the classroom waiting for
my two remaining students. On Monday
they’ll take their final exam, 36 hours complete.
Agnes
Dei my goodness, I have to turn down the pc speakers I borrowed from a
classroom. I’ll take sacred music when
it echoes through a cathedral. Joe Wise
was good for a song.
but I’ll take
this
A
little Beethoven 9 from Chicago to help finish the day off. And I need that real good cough ya know, but
not the kind that pulls muscles in rib cages, just a good hack and my ear’s’ll
open up.
So,
what were the highlights to your three day holiday in the house. I am glad there is a yard to pace
around. I listened to children playing
in the street. All homes here have 12
feet high or more walls. Getting food
from the men here was thoughtful and appreciated. Tonite younnis came into the kitchen and
offered his bowl of pureed something but I showed him my water boiling and
pasta and I did take a chunk of his bread which I still have and may eat tonite
or have it for breakfast.
9:48pm
Fezel
came by and I think he liked Beethoven, but not for 90 minutes so I switched to
the music videos I’ve been watching perhaps somewhat too much of until we
finished with Gul Pandra and her music from Peshwar.
One
new thing I enjoyed this weekend was fruit and creamy yogurt called ‘mest-eh’. I still have five pomegranate chunks after we ate two watching
No Doubt and Steven Tyler. I think it's lights out.
